This was not just the crowning of a monarch—it was the affirmation of a people, a heritage, and a calling fulfilled.


👑 THE CROWNING MOMENT: A KING AMONG HIS OWN

The ceremony was rich with the sacred rhythm of Yoruba royalty—where voices rose in oríkì, prayers were offered in ancestral tongues, and blessings flowed like the sacred waters of Osun. As Kabiyesi received the symbols of kingship, every eye in the room beheld a man chosen not only by custom, but by àṣẹ—divine authority.It was a powerful declaration:“Royalty is not about where you stand. It is about who you are, who you serve, and what you protect.”Oba Ayegbami I now stands as a bridge between generations and nations, entrusted with a mantle that spans beyond geography.

Following the coronation, ASA Night unfolded in grandeur—an evening of colour, cuisine, music, and identity. On Saturday, 13th September 2025, the Yoruba people across the United Kingdom and beyond will converge in celebration of something sacred — ASA WA DAY — Our Culture Day. A festival of elegance, honour, colour, and identity. A royal gathering of kings, chiefs, elders, youth, and friends of Yoruba heritage.

 

This is not just an event. It is a cultural movement — echoing the wisdom of our ancestors, igniting pride in our children, and reminding the world:

 

“Our culture is not in exile. It is alive. It is powerful. It is OURS.”
