Ọjọ́ Àṣà Wa 2025 dá lórí àlà àti ìran Kabiyesi, Aláyélúwà Ọba Olájídé Adétáyọ̀ Adénúgà, Ayégbámí Kínní, Ọba Yorùbá ní Midlands, UK. Látàrí ìrònú rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ọ̀la àwọn ọmọ Yorùbá káàkiri ayé, Kabiyesi ṣe àlàyé ọjọ́ pàtàkì kan tí yóò jẹ́ ìṣèlẹ̀ ìrántí àti ìjìnlẹ̀ ìtàn baba ńlá wa. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti máa ń rántí wa: “Àṣà tí ó gbàgbé gbọ́ngàn rẹ̀ dá bí igi tí kò ní gbòǹgbò—yóò yá níparí.”

Asa Wa Day 2025 was born from the vision of Kabiyesi, Alayeluwa Oba Olajide Adetayo Adenuga, Ayegbami the First, Oba Yoruba of the Midlands, UK. Inspired by his reflection on the future of Yoruba children across the world, His Majesty envisioned a day dedicated to celebrating and reawakening our ancestral heritage. As he reminds us: “A culture that forgets its roots is like a tree without roots—destined to wither.”
This celebration stands as a living testament to the resilience of Yoruba identity. It embodies the timeless principles of Omoluabi—integrity, respect, and service—bringing together Yoruba descendants worldwide to honour traditions, share stories, and strengthen cultural pride.
